2015 Experiential Marketing Trends

2014 was a busy year for JGK; at the onset of 2015 we’re looking forward to another great year working with established Clients as well as new! Some of the trends, challenges and opportunities that we believe will impact the events industry in 2015 are the following:

  • Three years of survey data collected by Event Track shows that more brands are using events and experiences to launch new products (2014: 59%, 2013: 50%, 2012: 48%). We believe this trend will continue as will the need to deliver events that are ‘fresh and unique.’
  • The power of technology and tools to enhance the overall customer experience has been on the rise and will continue. To maintain this impact—with less of a demand on resources—will require integrated platforms.
  • Social media will continue to be used as a valuable communication tool prior, during and after an event.
  • Unfortunately, we’re still in a recession therefore the importance of proving ROI will continue to be paramount.

I would like to add…never underestimate the power of word-of-mouth be it digital or in person because 98% of consumers that tell a friend or family member about their experience mention the company or brand running the event.*
